May the 4th be with you...
We take Star Wars pretty seriously around here. I thought I would share a couple of simple ideas we have done in the past to celebrate Star Wars day (May the 4th). You could also use these for a birthday party!
Crafts:
These diy mini lightsabers are SO easy and so fun to have a little glow stick battle/party with in the dark after! Find the printable here: Lightsaber Printable
And a video tutorial here: DIY mini lightsabers
This baby Yoda watercoloring activity is easy for kids and can we done on a whim. All you need to do is print the baby yoda template out and then have your kids fill in the colors with watercolor. You could also use my mini version and make a baby Yoda card for someone.
Hairstyles: Can't miss Star Wars day without a good hairstyles! Here are our versions of Rey and Princess Leia.
We did 3 messy buns for Rey (find a tutorial on my hair highlights @danasdailys on instagram)and for Princess Leia we did it a little different and just braided the hair before twisting into buns and secured it with a clear elastic and bobby pins.
Food:
These are just a couple of SUPER SIMPLE treats and a drink you can whip out for your kids on Star Wars day. And you can get my free printable for the labels here:
Death star donuts: white powdered donuts
Princess Leia buns: Honey buns
Yoda soda: You can use any green juice or do a little educational lesson with it! We used Sprite with yellow gatorade and dark blue gatorade. I was able to teach my 4 year old a little about primary colors and color mixing and called it a win for the day. Haha.
